What do I need to do prior to having your service in my home or business?
We make every effort to clean the entire area, and ask that small items and valuables be removed from the area to be cleaned. Large items, such as furnishings, are handled by us, and we place protective pads under those articles to protect them from damage due to moisture from the cleaning process.
+
How long does the carpet take to dry?
In most cases your carpet will be dry within 2 to 4 hrs. Factors affecting this are humidity, extent of cleaning performed, carpet weave type, and temperature and air movement within the area cleaned. We use high powered equipment that allows us to vacate as much water as possible, and we use air moving equipment that will dry the areas at a greatly accelerated rate. Pads are placed under furnishings that have been moved to protect both the furnishing and the carpet from damage due to the moisture.
+
Should I move anything?
Please remove smaller items and breakables from the area. Loose smaller items such as shoes, magazines, children’s toys and similar items should b removed from the areas to be cleaned.
We will any items that are one piece fixtures and are not laden with smaller breakables. We do not move electronics, pianos, aquariums, or china cabinets.
+
How often should I have my carpets or upholstery professionally cleaned?
Cleaning frequency varies on the usage of the particular room or piece of furniture, the surrounding environment, the home environment, and your personal degree of cleanliness. We recommend annual cleaning for those areas heavily used (family rooms, stairs, halls) and 18 month cleanings for those areas less traveled.
+
Do carpets re-soil quickly after cleaning?
Our method of extraction is non-residual. Detergents that are used to loosen soils and stains are designed to emulsify easily with our powerful equipment, and there is only a minimal amount of dampness left in the fiber of the carpet or furnishing. You may further enhance the process by choosing a protector such as Scotchgard. This will make future spills clean up more easily and make soils vacate more readily when vacuuming. If spots come back within a two week period, please call us and we will address your concerns at no charge to you.
+
Will all my stains be removed?
We will pre-inspect areas to be cleaned and communicate to you beforehand as to what to expect. Every effort is made to over deliver, and we have the formulas, training and equipment to make the outcome the very best. Some stains are permanent or a result of discolor of the fiber, and proper treatment of spots and soils can prevent the evolution of foreign material from turning into a permanant stain.
+
How can I care for my carpet and furnishings?
Vacuum regularly with a well maintained vacuum cleaner. Please use the stain guide on this web site to better manage stain removal. If your treatment makes the stain disappear, please rinse thoroughly, as you want to remove all particulate associated with the stain and the detergent applied.
+
Which method of cleaning carpets and rugs is best?
Carpet manufacturers agree on hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning, for the purpose of prolonging the life of the carpet. We offer other solutions to carpet cleaning when speed drying is essential in a commercial environment.
+
Are your products safe?
All products used in your home or business have been thoroughly tested to be people and pet safe, and we make every effort to vacate your carpets of any residuals and allergens.
+
Will this cleaning help with allergies?
Yes. Removing soils, dust and particulates is recommended by allergy specialists. Our vacuum is HEPA filter equipped, and our truckmounted equipment exhausts outside of the home. Our portable equipment is filtered also, and can be exhausted outside of the home.
+
Does carpet cleaning make carpet wear out faster?
When done properly, your carpets will last much longer with regular maintenance. Much like an automobile's finish, dirt and grit will scratch at the fibers of the carpet, leaving the more heavily traveled areas dull and discolored.
+
What are the benefits of carpet over other floor coverings?
Your carpet is a large filter that will trap fine particles until removal with frequent vacuuming and a schedule of professional carpet cleanings. Carpet also provides an insulation barrier with a significant ‘R’ value, and gives the floor surface a slip resistance. Additionally, noise reduction is provided and acoustics are improved.
